The Sierra Sacramento Valley Medical Society has several committees that study and report on issues impacting physicians and access to care. Many of the activities of our committees result in recommendations to the SSVMS Board of Directors, County Health Departments, Boards of Supervisors, City Councils, local agencies and legislators. Over the years, many serious or chronic problems affecting the practice of medicine and patients have been resolved as a result of the work of our chairs and committee members. Physician members interested in participating on a SSVMS committee are encouraged to contact the Medical Society at 916-452-2671 or info@ssvms.org.
This committee is responsible for planning, soliciting articles, editing, and publishing Sierra Sacramento Valley Medicine, the journal of the Sierra Sacramento Valley Medical Society. All physician and medical student members are invited to submit articles, poems, photos, artwork or other items for possible publication. Learn more here.
