SSV Medical Society News - 2022 - Volume 11 - Issue 02 White Coat Week, Booster Requirement Deadline, and the Latest News from SSVMS Upcoming Events, Latest News, and more. Medical Society News February 2022 Greetings! The nightmare that is COVID-19 continues and most of us have innocently wondered why we chose the medical profession. It's easy to lose sight of why we pursued healthcare in the midst of a pandemic. Many of us need a bit of a mental reset and to see healthcare through the eyes of our younger selves again. SSVMS is providing that opportunity. Future of Medicine was launched last year and is providing job-shadowing opportunities for the optimistic eyes of high school and college students interested in the field of medicine. We're seeking healthcare professionals to host a student or two in your practice or clinic for a few days this spring so that they can envision a career in healthcare. Students will observe from 8:30am-12:30pm for four days during their Spring Break (Session I is March 14-17; Session II is April 11-14). We invite you to help us open young minds to a career in the healthcare. They just might help you feel young again too. Learn more about this opportunity by clicking here. Know students interested in applying? Share these application links for White Coat Week and the Summer Session! Thank you for your dedication to the field of medicine! Paul D.
