Share Public Service Announcements

During the hardest parts of COVID, when misinformation flew higher than ever, our patients and community members didn’t know who or what to believe. Politicians and media pundits irresponsibly floated conspiracy theories at will. We learned that people needed to hear directly from their local doctors. And we continue to operate with this in mind.

When COVID, influenza, and RSV numbers started to rise, we quickly contacted a few SSVMS members to join me in producing public service announcements to encourage vaccination, masking, and hand washing. Adam Dougherty, MD and I produced one in English and Marcia Casas, MD and Juan Hernandez, MD produced one in Spanish.

I encourage you to share these PSAs to let people in our community know how to best protect themselves. I also encourage you to reach out if you are interested in participating in future PSAs. I will be looking for more members from our diverse practices and communities to join me in PSAs throughout the year.
