Working Together on Prop 35

As the Election Cycle intensifies, the focus may often be on presidential candidates, but it's crucial not to overlook significant down-ticket measures like Prop 35 – the Protect Access to Health Care Act. SSVMS and CMA strongly support Prop 35, and we need your help to ensure its success!

Remember, the state has repeatedly redirected more than $20 billion in health care funding to non-health care purposes. Prop 35 will secure the ongoing revenue by extending an existing tax on health insurance companies — without raising taxes on individuals — and dedicates these funds to protect and expand access to care for all Californians. And it will prevent the state from redirecting these revenues for non-health care purposes.

Here’s how you can easily support Prop 35:

• Share Your Story – Record a brief video or write about why Prop 35 is important to you.
• Spread the Word – Use provided graphics and language on your social media platforms with the hashtag #YESon35.
• Update Your Profile – Update your profile and cover photos with Prop 35 graphics.
• Email a Friend – Send a prewritten email explaining why you’re voting YES on Prop 35.
• Join the Coalition – Sign up as a supporter of Prop 35 to help amplify our message.

These actions are quick, simple, and cost nothing, yet they make a significant impact.
