CMA asks Congress to increase funding to the Paycheck Protection Program and to prioritize physician practices. CMA asks Gov. Newsom to require health plans and insurers to provide supplemental financial assistance or stabilization grants for their network physicians that are financially distressed. CMA and AMA ask HHS to immediately and automatically pay physician practices for lost revenue. CMA urges Gov. Newsom to request CMS Medi-Cal waiver. CMS provides $51 billion to Medicare providers with the accelerated/advanced payment program in one week. All sectors of healthcare are critically low on masks. Through Operation Shields Up, SSVMS has raised funds to produce and distribute face shields at no cost to physicians on the frontlines. PPE and Mask Donations Donations SSVMS is accepting donations of PPE for distribution to hospital, clinics and physician practices. Masks (N95, Surgical, and/or cloth) are in most need. Fabric Masks We thank our local sewing groups, community members, and Joann Fabric - Folsom for the donation of hand sewn fabric masks.
